Jack Bogwicz
Assistant Coach - Providence Day School
Coach Bogwicz is a 34-year-old native of Syracuse, New York, who graduated from Potsdam University with a Bachelor’s Degree in elementary education and psychology. In 2001, he moved to Charlotte for a teaching position with the Charlotte Mecklenburg School System. For the past eight years, he has been a 5th grade teacher at Lake Wylie Elementary. Bogwicz was a head lacrosse coach for Potsdam High School from 1999-2001 and prior to that the assistant coach for Potsdam University from 1997-1999. In the spring of 2004, he was the head coach of the Union County lacrosse Association for both Varsity and JV teams. Coach Bogwicz is currently coaching at Providence Day School were he is the Head Middle School Coach, and also serves as an assistant coach on the varsity squad. He has been coaching the Chargers for the past 4 years. He was a four-year starter in college, playing attack and defense, and was elected captain in his final year. During Bogwicz’s senior year, he helped lead the Division III Potsdam Bears to their first ever Empire Lacrosse League Championship and first ECAC post season appearance. Bogwicz was elected E.L.L. Player of the Week and also named the team’s Defensive MVP. He was a first team all-conference selection, and received the most votes making him the league’s top defenseman. In addition, Coach Bogwicz was an All-American nominee, and also nominated for the prestigious Division III North/South All-Star Game.
